G4 Canada to air exclusive live coverage of Halo 3 release and special coverage from Tokyo Game Show

 

TORONTO, September 17, 2007 –G4 Canada is pleased to announce special live coverage of the release of Halo 3, one of the most anticipated video games of all time. Airing Monday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 11:00 p.m. PT, G4 Canada’s Halo 3 Countdown Live offers avid gamers four and a half hours of behind the scenes coverage from multiple locations across North America with an exclusive first look at the game that is widely expected to be the best selling video game of all time. Halo 3 Countdown Live also features interviews with the game developers and a look at what makes Halo the world’s most popular videogame franchise.

Halo 3 Countdown Live will also repeat Tuesday, September 25 at 12:30 a.m. ET/3:30 a.m. PT.

G4 Canada is also pleased to air two special X-Play coverage episodes from the Tokyo Game Show, one of the largest video game expo in the world with almost 200,000 attendees and 168 exhibitors. Airing Tuesday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 26 at 12:00 a.m. ET/PT, X-Play offers an advanced look at the hottest titles in soon-to-be-released games and the biggest games for the holiday season. X-Play will go behind the scenes to explore cutting edge videogame culture updates from Japan as well as talk to local developers and get insight on the cultural differences for designing games for the Japanese. Also, get updates on the newest gaming trends and what the future holds for gaming in Japan.
X-Play’s coverage of the Tokyo Game Show will repeat Tuesday, September 25 at 3:00 a.m. ET/PT; Wednesday, September 26 at 12:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. ET/PT; and Thursday, September 27 at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. ET/PT.

PLEASE NOTE: For one time only, The IT Crowd and Code Monkeys are moving from their regularly scheduled air times on Monday, September 24 to Wednesday, September 26 only to accommodate Halo 3 Countdown Live. Both programs return to their regularly scheduled air times the following week.
